What Do These Changes In The BBT And CD Level Indicate For Conception?

Hello,I have been charting my bbt and this is the second cycle. This cycle my bbt dropped to 97.2 and i had my period. Then it was almost stable at 97.5 for the next week. Then on the cd 8 it rose to 97.7. We had a timed intercourse. My bbt for the next couole of days rose gradually but remained under 97.9.Then on 8 days post the rise .i.e. cd 19 it dropped to 97.3 and the next day .i.e. cd 20 rose to 97.9. Cd 21 it rose to 98.3 and today .i.e. cd 22 dropped to 97.9.This is all so confusing. So i just want some clarity.

Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
BBT charting helps to find ovulation day,, a conception around the day has excellent chances of conception. The day when Basal body temperature drops as compared to all other days in cycle - indicates ovulation day.
- The basal body temperature is to be taken when you are awake from sleep in morning... immediately after waking up( not doing simplest movements for fetching thermometer)That is some body else has to do it for you & put thermometer in your mouth for one full minute & take & chart the reading...Slightest of movement causes error in reading.
- when taken methodically , there is no other chance of error except if you are running fever,
* other ways to guess ovulation day is by checking & finding cervical mucus in plenty, clear & stretchy( egg white cervical mucus )during ovulation./ LH surge test / knowledge that ovulation day is 14 days prior to the next date of period.
Thanks
