What Do These Following ALT And AST Values Indicate?
I was diagnosed with Hep C 3 years ago, exposure unknown probably 35 years ao and further tests were benign and no tx required at that time. My latest liver enzyme tests were ALT:378, AST:253. I am very concerned what should the next step be an ultrasound and/or biopsy. Am I in any medical dangers now with levels this high

Hi,
Suggestive of liver damage. An increase in ALT and AST levels may indicate liver damage. A liver biopsy seems to be next test to know the staging of the liver disease, prognosis, and possibly further treatment options.
