What Do These Following ALT And AST Values Indicate?
My ALT is 80 with lab range of 12-78,and AST is 57 with range of 15-37.prior to lab test I had been drinking heavy days before and had taken alive and lots of vitamins . I do drink regularly but have stopped about a week now. I have mild tenderness to right upper quadrant of abdomen . Scheduled to see pcp next week . These results were discovered by my gym at wellness appt and she urged me to see pcp as soon as I could. Should I be alarmed?

The mentioned measurements of the liver enzymes are fairly border line high and that also is consistent with the history of binge drinking giving some sort of organic insult to the liver.
A sonography of the abdomen & pelvis is a must to evaluate the alteration in liver echo texture if any to look for fatty changes.
