What Do These Little Aches Near My Heart Mean ?

For the past 6 months I have these dull aches in my chest, mostly on my left side. I am obviously not having a heart attack because i am still alive, but they are very alarming. My dr seems to think its stress related, and has not done any other tests. I am 25 years old...drink occassionally, just quit smoking a month ago...it feels like i need to stretch that side or something. very strange...anyone else get this???

Have a nice day. You did upset me with your response to my question only because I have severe anxiety attacks and feel like I am going to die. I don't take the subject of death very good, especially when someone says your going to die. Anyway thanks for apologizing! Didn't mean to freak out as my mom says.
