What Do These Urine And Blood Test Reports Indicate?
My doctor had his nurse try to explain what my blood work and urine test read. My concern is with the WBC Esterase 2+ Abnormal / Mucus threads present / Bacteria Few and I m told that everything is alright, within allowable rates, not to worry. My question is, do I have anything to worry about and is all alright? I did have a lot of burning when I urinated and the urine smelled like it was really old. I did take cranberry pills and the burning stopped after a couple of days but the smell is still there.

thank you for asking your concern and welcome to hcm. this report is showing some amount of urinary tract infection. but as you had burning urination then you will need treatment. for a man this is significant finding and for non pregnant woman antibiotic is not necessary. in case of old age, male, pregnancy antibiotic is necessary. tablet cefuroxime 500 mg twice daily for 5 days is enough. you need to drink plenty water to clear infection. if burning still presents you can take syp cital or alkasol to make urine alkaline and decrease burning. tablet paracetamol one tablet during pain only is enough.
