What Do Tremors Below The Rib Cage Indicate?

I notice a painless throbbing just below my rib cage. I thought it was a muscle tremor, totally pain less. This lasted on and off for 2 weeks. Then I noticed that the tremors stop, and later I felt something iching, I scached it, and felt a little pain, I looked at the area and saw a area about 9 or 10 sq inches bright red, with little pustuals that later turned into scabs. The rash got worse but didn t spread. after about a weak it was healing. Did I get shingles?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your guess is right.it seems to be shingles.one thing is very important.pain is very intense throughout the period of rash and before it's appearance.if you have severe pain, tab.acetaminophen or ibuprofen can be taken.when the rash is intense, tab.acyclovir or valcyclovir are recommended.numbing agents like lignocaine can be applied over blisters to relieve pain.in my opinion,it's better if you consult a dermatologist the next time you get such lesions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
