Hello Sir, I have white black and red patches in mouth since 2 months, it s very painful and burning a lot while eating, when it was started I visited dermatologist and he said its looks like lichens oral lichen planus, he gave some steroid injection I asked to wait for 1 month but no improvement in 1 months then I have visited oral surgeon dentist he gave 7 days treatment of wysolone 20 mg. It s was cured almost 90% but now again after 2 weeks, I am getting same patches and lots of burning while eating and also note I gets so much pressure on teeth whenever I am sleeping, pressure like my teeth want to chew anything. Please help. Anil Kharat 0000
The symptoms can be due to Oral Lichen planus or Lichenoid reaction ( if you take any medication).. Steroid therapy can help in improving the symptoms but for complete resolution you need to get the underlying cause ruled out.. So it is advisable to consult an Oral Pathologist and get evaluated.. You can be advised a biopsy of the lesion and a blood test along with detailed medical history evaluation so that the exact cause can be ruled out and treated accordingly.. For now you should take another course of steroid under supervision of Oral Surgeon..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
