What Do White Bumps Inside The Mouth Indicate?

Hi, I have some white bumps on the inside of my mouth. I was taking Phazyme and have recently stopped taking it, hoping the white bumps will disappear. But do you know if there are any problems from my taking Beano and Heather s Tummy Tamers? I saw an oral surgeon for checkups 8-10-2017 on 9-7-2017. We tend not to think that the bumps are cancer because they are symetrical and seem the same size. He is reluctant to do a biopsy because the bumps are near a nerve that if cut could cause permanent damage such as paralyzing half of my tongue and losing ability to taste from that area. Can t be sure it s not cancer, w/o a biopsy. Thank you. Susan

Hi.

Thanks for the query.

White bumps on the inside of mouth can be due to a number of causes and not necessarily cancerous.
If they are symmetrical and present on both side of inner cheeks then they can even be Fordyce's spots.
So first of all please send me pictures of the bumps and also please provide more details like the duration of the bumps, any medical history, your age etc.
Depending on these the further treatment can be advised..
