General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due dysbacteriosis or malabsorption syndromes due to protozoal infections like giardiasis. If you getting this again get a routine stool investigation. If giardiasis or dysbacteriosis antibiotic therapy and probiotics will help. If you were my patient with positive for this then i would recommend combination of antibiotic like ofloxacin and ornidazole for 3 to 5 days and probiotic like sacharomyces boulardi. Taking yogurts and kefir is also good.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
