What Do White Painful Scars On The Base Of The Neck Indicate?

I have a picture of my back, my son in law took pictures of it, when these marks showed up for the fourth time. I thought I saw silvery white scars in the picture. I think I have a scar at the base of my neck. The first three episodes involved pain at the base of my neck, the first attack being worst. All four were treated with vinegar.. The first threee were hot compress straight vinegar, the fourth was sprayed on. There was rubbing alcohol in the spray. I had it to clean the couch. . I had special trouble moving my neck the first time. . I was not able to see what was going on, just felt. The fourth episode involved significant feeling at the meat of my back, but much less than the first three episodes.. All four episodes happened in the living room. I was alone the other three times.
