What Do White Patches On The Skin Indicate?

Hi, its been a year now since I have been diagnosed with a mixed connective tissue disease. I have been very worried lately because its been a month now and I noticed white patches that cause me a lot of skin irritation. I have been researching and have found some skin conditions like ventiligo. Are the patches something to be concerned about?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Vitiligo is not painful.
So possibility of Vitiligo is less likely.
Systemic lupus can cause skin infections like fungal infection.
So we should definitely rule out fungal infection in your case.
So consult dermatologist and get done clinical examination of skin lesions.
You may need antifungal creams for local application.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
