Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain yellow patches on the back of the tongue are commonly not signs of any serious disease and it is due to accumulation of debris and food particles over the tongue papillae..
It occurs commonly due to poor
oral hygiene or poor cleaning of the tongue..
Red spots on the tongue can be due to inflamed Circumvallate papillae that might have got inflamed due to
acid reflux secondary to chemical injury caused by the acid..
I would suggest you to start gargling with 1:1 solution of
hydrogen peroxide and water..
You can dip a soft toothbrush in the above solution and gently brush your tongue.
Use a tongue scraper to clean your tongue everyday after brushing..You should also eat more of raw fruits and vegetables as it help in cleaning tongue by friction..
For acid reflux you can take
proton pump inhibitor like
Omeprazole and
antacid like
milk of magnesia..
You can also take short frequent meals, drink plenty of water and take more of yoghurt in diet..
Take walks after meals and do moderate workout..
You can sleep with head slightly raised as compared to feet..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
