What Do You Suggest For Terrible Pain In My Sternum Tip After Having A Pacemaker Put In?
I had a pacemaker put in 1 week ago. I immediately had the most terrible pain in my sternum tip upon waking up. I took this as normal and delt with the pain while in the hospital bed. My girlfriend watched me wither in pain and had them give me something. The pain is almost intolerable. I could only sleep sitting up. When was discharged, I found that walking made it worse by the second. I couldnt catch a breath and it was such an intense, piercing pain. I am still having this pain. It comes and goes, but the intensity is the same. It is almost like a giant cramp. It just gets tighter and more restrictive with movement and deep breathing
Any thoughts? I had a check up with my PCP. He ordered an xray and found nothing. Thanks, Gary C. Broadway
HI Thank for asking to HCM You were in hospital when you experienced the pain, this means that this is not due to the pacemaker otherwise hospital would have noticed it at that time only, so the possibility of pacemaker ruled out here, this could be post op. pain and will come around after some time, you can better manage this with the analgesic medicine and the best choice is, "Tab Diclofenac 50 mg sustain release once in day. hope this information help you take care and have nice day.
