My aunt got pregnant at 43 and 45 with my cousins. As long as you are healthy and aware of the risks involved, I see nothing wrong with it! Why not? 40s women typically are going to be better prepared for a child than a 20something. Your career is established, your home is established and you've outgrown the need to be out partying every weekend! Of course thats an overgeneralization, but I've found it to be true. Not to mention 40s are more laid back than 20s. Im half way there and can see myself as a far better mother than I would have been 10 years ago and can only imagine it would improve in another 10 and I pretty much thought I was the $h1t 10 years ago!! LOL I say go for it!
