What Doe This MRI Report Signify?
My MRI Report shows below and I went to Dubai for reconstruction of external sphinchter, but Dr. in Dubai mentioned that in Dubai they do not reconstruct external sphinchter, if you know any doctor who reconstruct external sphinchter in India will be greatful.. QUOTE: Recent Fournier s gangrene followed by debridement. To assess anal muscle and sphincters. Technique: Fistula-in-ano protocol. Axial PD FAT SAT stress images acquired as well followed by post-contrast images in all planes. Findings: The distal 2.9 cm of the left half of the external sphincter is insufficient and is replaced by fibrofatty tissue. The right half is intact. Intact internal sphincter. No collection in the vicinity. No collection in the ischiorectal fossa. Normal appearance of the seminal vesicles. The inadequacy of the external sphincter quite likely explains the defecatory dysfunction UNQUOTE: Thank you for you prompt advice. Regards.

2.The MRI report suggest there are no features of infection / inflammation mentioned.
3.And sphincter insufficiency seen as dilated with altered signal intensity.
4.For fistulous opening when suspected - fistulogram is advised investigation.
