What Does the following chest X-ray Indicate?

Pls explain in layman s terms the following results of my (rad) chest 3+V x-ray. The cardiac silhouette is enlarged with the cardiothoracic ratio measuring 13, 1/24 2; left ventricular predominance and aortic unfolding and interval calcification. The lungs are clear. There is a mild bilateral apical pieural thickening. Mediastinum, diaphragm, and body thorax appear normal - apart from stable degenerative changes in the spine. Thank you so much!

Hello sir,
Thanks for the query.
I have gone through your reports and I can understand your concerns.

Your X-ray report indicates some kind of age related changes in your heart. Your cardiac silhouette is enlarged which means the chambers of your heart is dilated, most probably due to age related wear and tear or due to chronic hyper tension. It is not a matter of concern unless you have clinical symptoms like breathlessness or chest pain. I suggest you to consult a cardiologist and get an echo test done to assess your cardiac status.
Aortic unfolding and calcification is a purely age related change due calcium deposition, not at all a serious issue.
Your lung looks almost normal. There is mild thickening at the apex(top) of your lung. it might be due to old and healed infections like tuberculosis. these are not an active disease process and thus no treatment is required as of now.
All other features are perfectly normal.

Hope i have ansered your query.
Regards.
