My MRI report indicates the following, and I have no idea what it is saying. The normal cervical lordosis is straightened. The vertebral body heights and alignment are preserved. Bone marrow signal intensity is within normal limits. The cerbical spinal cord is normal in caliber and signal intenisty. The visualized posterior fossa is grossly unremarkable. C2-3 level unremarkable. C3-4 level The cental canal is patent. Bilateral neural foramina are mildly narrowed by uncovertebral joint hypertrophic degenerative changes. C5-6 level There are endplate degenerative changes indenting on the dural sac left anteriorly without spinal cord compromise. The both neural foramina are patent. With that being said, 7 years ago I fell getting off of a boat and all of my weight went onto my left shoulder. I broke my wrist in 2 places and jammed the bones up into my shoulder. It took 3 years and a lot of pain for anyone to figure out I hurt my neck as well. 4 years ago I had a fusion @ c5-6 which seemed good for a year or so, now I am having issues. I have a large lump that shows up in the center of my back at the base of my neck, my collar bone seems to be out of place as it looks broken but after xray not showing ever being broke. Help
1.The MRI findings seems to be like degenerative changes seen in aggregated, excessive usage, weight bearing work. 2.The disk which is seen in between the vertebrae has seen slipped and causing the pressure effect on the spinal chord at level of - C3-4 with narrowing of the intervertebral joint ( could be a cause of old trauma). 3.C5-6 there is endplate ( surface of the vertebrae) showing degenerative changes - could be osteophyte growth, sclerosis. 4.There are no obvious findings related to the old trauma in this report. 5.The large lump you have mentioned has not came in to this scan - i would suggest to get an ultrasound scan which will help to assess the nature of lesion, its source and extensions.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
