Hello, i have been having pain after urination. doctor advised me for a urine test. results urine R/E (by diascreen 50 urine chemistry analyser) Qty: 30 ml colour pale: yellow Ph value : 6.0 specific gravity : 1.005 Glucos: absent ketone: absent bilirubin: absent protien: trace blood: absent nitrite: absent Urobillinogen: normal phosphate: absent pus cells: 10/h.p.f RBC: nil casts: nil others:nil Urine for culture and sensitivity test: Culture shows no growth of micro organisms after 24/48 hours of aerobic incubation (sterile). My doctor says everything is normal. Yet i feel excrutiating pain while urinating. I am scared. I have been advised to consune of plenty of water and to take three spoons of alkasol syrup in a glass of water twice daily. is this treatment enough? If not what should i do next?
* As per my clinical experience, excruciating pain during urination has definite reason to cause it.
* When the infection is ruled out by urine microscopy, calculus in the urethra, urinary bladder or ureter most likely.
* Though plenty of liquids and alkasol syrup will give some percentage relief, I strongly recommend to undertake an Ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis for further management guidelines.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
