What Does this HSG Test Result Mean?

Hi, I had an HSG done, and the results about tubes are as follows: Left fill and spill with free intraperitoneal flow of dye. Distal dilatation bilaterally and right loculated spill. Do you think this is indicative of hydrosalphinx? I m about to begin IVF procedure, do you think that there would be any adverse effects associated with tubes? Thanks

Hi, Thanks for writing in.

No, as per your HSG report, this is not indicative of hydrosalpinx.
The fallopian tubes mainly transport the ovum to the uterine cavity.

These HSG findings will not affect the IVF procedure since the ovum will be fertilized outside the body and the embryo will then be implanted in the uterus. You can go ahead with the IVF procedure without any worries.

Hope this helps! Please feel free to write back for any more questions that you may have.

Hi I did review your concern.

your right side tube HSG result seems abnormal showning tube blockage and possible hydrosalpinx.

As far as IVF is considered there should not be any issues with the tubes.

I hope this helps wish you all the best.
Thank you you for choosing healthcare magic..
