What Does this semen Analysis Result Mean?

Hello Doctor, I m 24 years old, looking for a child. We have undergone semen analysis.. Here are the test result: Would like to know, what is my exact results. pl help! Quantity: 2.0, Color - Gray-white Reaction - Alkaline, Viscocity- Viscus Total count: 29 milli, Active motile - 45%, sluggish motile - 30%, Non - Motile - 25% Morphology- Normal - 55%, Abnormal - 45%, pus cells - 5-6, RB - Nil, Normozoospermia. PL suggest what steps can be taken? Can we start our treatment for the baby

Hello

Your semen analysis findings may indicate semen infection.
Infection is indicated due to presence of few pus cells in semen.Normally semen shouldn't contain any pus cells.

You may need investigations like routine hemogram,random blood sugar,semen culture and sensitivity.
You may need to take antibiotics based on culture and sensitivity report.

Motility is normal.Normally it should be at least 55 %.Your findings suggests over all 75% motility,so it is normal.

Sperm count is normal.It should be at least 20 millions/ml.
Sperm morphology is also normal.

Fertility is expected to increase with control of infection.
