What Does this thyroid Test Result Mean?

Hi Doctor, Kindly advise. I am Nagesh and 31 years. I have been using Thyrox 25 daily since few months due to low thyroid issues. I was told that I probably need to use tablets for lifetime. As per, recent diagnostic tests -------------------------------------- T3 - 118 [Reference Range 60-200] T4 - 10 [Reference Range 4.5 - 12.0] TSH - 5.28 [Reference Range 0.3 - 5.5] Lab Comments: SUGGESTING THYRONORMALCY --------------------------------------- Could you please help me understand whether the problem is resolved and I could stop using these tablets! What is SUGGESTING THYRONORMALCY mean? Thank you in advance, Nagesh

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Thyronormalcy means that the levels are currently normal but you must remember that you are using thyroid hormone medication.

The medication would be the reason that the results are normal, the thyroid medication has put the thyroid hormone levels back within normal range.

If they were to be stopped then the levels would drop.

If you have any concerns regarding your medication then you may want to consider speaking to your doctor.
