What Does this widal Test Result Mean?

What is the interpretation of my Widal test below: Antigen O H S. Typhi 1/320 1/40 S.Paratyphi A 1/40 1/40 S.Paratyphi B 1/160 1/40 S. Paratyphi C 1/40 1/160

Hello

Your reports suggests positive widal test.It indicates typhoid and paratyphoid fever.
Antibody titre O or H > or equal to 1: 160 indicate positive widal test.
A single Widal test is of little clinical relevance due to the number of cross reacting infections.However,four fold increase in serial titration is confirmatory.

After clinical correlation,you may need to take antibiotics regularly for 5- 7 days.
I suggest my patient to take injection ceftriaxone 1 gram I.V twice daily for
five-seven days after proper skin test.
Alternatively tablet cefixime 200 mg twice daily for 5-7 days can also be taken.

Patient can take tablet paracetamol 500 mg SOS for fever.
