Hello. I am on my 35 weeks and 3 days. My ultrasound reads; BPD is 81.9 mm and GA = 31 weeks 6 days with and SD -1.8. FL = 68.4 mm, GA = 38w0d (1.4SD), FTA = 74. 21 cm^2, GA = 36 weeks2d (0.4SD) EFW= 2477 g, GA = 35w2d (-0.1SD)
Is this normal especially the BPD? I am worried because it shows smaller than my baby's GA. What does -1.8SD means? Thank you so much.
BPD measurement depends on many factors including position of the baby. It is not too small for gestational age. It is most likely that the baby is normal and the BPD measurement does not signify any serious problem. As you are in your 35 th week please do not get worried and be in touch with your gynecologist regularly.
The rest of the measurements is normal. I would have liked to see the head circumference measurement also.
