What Does 2+ Protein In Urine Analysis Mean?

Hi doctor. I went to clinic yesterday .I found out that my urine have proteins which is +2. Since my first check up at clinic my urine was always NAD.now I am 35weeks 5days. And this happens for the first time. I am asking that should I worry about this issue or it is likely to happen which might not mean that the is any complication.

Hello,

Presence of 2+ proteins in urine needs to be investigated. I suggest you get your blood pressure checked. High blood pressure during pregnancy can be the cause of presence of 2+ proteins.
