What Does At C506, There Is Moderate Disc Loss On An MRI Indicate?

I just had an MRI. It states as follows: At C506, there is moderate disc loss and a moderate asymmetric broad-based posterior osetochondral bar, greater towards the right. This abuts the anterior cord. Laminar osteophytes/degeneration also partially efface of posterior CSF but no significant central canal stenosis or evidence of cord deformity see. There is mild bilateral forminal narrowing. I have tingling and numbness down my right arm to the thumb on my right hand. Causing issues with my job as a typist. What exactly does hit mean? I have pain on the right side of neck, cannot turn my head all the way to the right and chronic pain spot on my spine at T11-12 (5 years) at bra line.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The MRI indicative of C 5 and 6 disc loss with degeneration and absence of stenosis indicates calcium homeostasis alteration or parathyroid imbalance of some sort most likely. Associated features apart from tingling and numb hand over other systemic category, associated lab data and other investigations would help to focus more precisely in concern with this query. Primary management with conservative approach of assisted physiotherapy and cervical collar, later on surgery through stereotactic approach via key hole surgery is best result oriented option in this type of problems.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
