Dynamic range of system = 01-10.000.000.000 Copies/ml Linearity (Sensitivity of assay) 50- 100.000.000 IU / ml

Cut off value for Qualitative PCR - 500 IU / ml (Less than cut off is considered non detected)



correlation coefficient: 1.000 Slope: -3.397 Intercept: 39.089 Y = -3.397 x +39.089

PCR Efficiency: 97.0 %

Hello and welcome to HCM,

The test result of HCV RNA copies of 270685 IU/ml indicates presence of hepatitis C virus DNA and thus hepatitis C virus infection.
The treatment for hepatitis C infection is treatment of the viral infection by anti-viral therapy.
It is important to clear away the hepatitis C infection since hepatitis C infection is associated with chronicity and risk of developing cirrhosis of liver and development of hepatocellular carcinoma.
