What Does Right Artery - PSV = 0.50 M/s,Left Artery - EDV = 0.02 M/s Indicate?
I had a penile doppler ultrasound investigation last month and my results were:
Left artery - PSV = 0.47m/s
Right Artery - PSV = 0.50m/s
Left Artery - EDV = 0.02m/s
Right Artery - EDV = 0.01m/s
Left - RI = 0.98
Right - RI = 0.97
I only got a 60% erection during the investigation, I had no libido. I've had full morning erections before. Earlier this year I got a full morning erection that stayed up for 20 minutes and still get partial morning erections at times.
From what I've been reading the PSV is normal but I'm wondering if I got a full erection during the investigation; would the readings have been higher? And what about the EDV values? Are they ok? I had an investigation a few years ago and there was nothing physically wrong with me.
PSV is peak systolic velocity and for you it is in the range of 47 to 50 cm/ second which is normal.
EDV is end diastolic velocity and it is 1 to 2 cm/ second is a dynamic variable. EDV in a normal penile Doppler decreases with increase in erection and at full erection a negative value is obtained due to flow reversal.
This has not been commented up on in the report so I assume the erection might not have been total.
There are many reasons for less than total erection including addiction, smoking and medical conditions.
