What Does Small Opacity On Left Parahilar Area And Being Asymptomatic Suggest?

hello there, I just got my medical exam results for a job requirement, xray findings reported I have ‘small opacity on left parahilar area‘, spot view is suggested for clarification. I m asymptomatic, all my test are normal and physical exam is normal. Non smoker and I don t drink alcoholic drinks. Never had any health problems in the past months. Should I be concerned with the xray finding. thanks for any reply

I appreciate your concern for the opacity in chest x ray, nothing to worry about it.

The chest x ray findings given in your question are suggestive of old tuberculous infection of the lymph nodes which got healed.

In view of absence of symptoms and the fact that your medical examination is mandatory to get the job visa, I think they might ask for Mantoux test.
