What Does A CRP Reading Of 20 During Pregnancy Suggest?

I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and went to A&E yesterday as i was having pains on the left side of my back which was escalating around the side of my stomach they scanned me and checked that the baby was all fine i had a urine sample sent off and also had my bloods done. I rang the ward today to find out my results and my water came back negative but my CRP was 20 im really concerned as to why?

Hello,

High CRP indicates infection somewhere in the body. You can recheck the test after few days whether the change persists or not. The focus of infection has to be evaluated.
