What Does A Blister On The Big Toe Indicate?

I had a blister on my big toe and i kinda just let it be even though it would throb and ache severely all day and i kinda just hoped its go away but now it just broke open and the skin to be really thick and it looks like a hole on the inside any ideas of what it might be ? A dead wart ?
