What Does A Blood Vessel Like White Spot Behind The Throat Indicate?
My child has something in the back of her throat....it is not connected to her tonsils but seems to move when her tongue does. She says it hurts and worst pain is when swallowing. It is rectangular in shape and off white in color with blood vessels. Could this be something serious or should we see her pediatrician int he morning?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have blood vessel like white spot behind the throat it could be tonsil stone that is tonsiliths. Keratotic plaque over the tonsils which look like white spots. It could be oral thrush. There could be possibility of that tonsils are filled with pus. I would suggest to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may remove the stones and prescribe antibiotics . In some cases tonsillectomy is needed. For now do warm saline gargles. Maintain oral hygiene of child.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
