What Does A Blue Vein Appearing At Center Of The Chest Indicate?

I had sex with my boyfriend and I got my periods but after that I had this really weird vaginal infection for which I went to the gynaecologist and she gave me VDM. The infection disappeared but I went ahead qith a pregnancy text which came negative. Now I have light blue vein showing on thw centre of my chest which runs to my left breast. Ambi okay? And will I get my periods on time.

Hi,

The possible causes of prominent blue veins on and around the breast are:
- Hormonal effect around menstruation or in pregnancy
- Any injuries to breast
- Systemic conditions of veins like Spider veins, Mondor's disease.

As your urine pregnancy test is negative the possibility of pregnancy is less in your case and you may get periods as usual. If you are around the period of menstruation, there is possibility that you may get periods soon and after that the vein may become less prominent.

If you are not having pain, the possibility of infection is less. If you are having prominent veins in other parts of the body also, then you have to think about systemic causes and have to consult your doctor once.
