What Does A Bubbly Feeling On The Rib Cage Suggest?
I have this bubble feeling right below my rib cage. I couldn't eat breakfast, cause the milk wouldn't go down. Then I didn't eat lunch. So I drunk some ginger ale and took a muscle relaxer and it went down. But its this discomfortable feeling below my rib cage now.
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to: 1. Gastrointestinal cause- due to accumulation of gas and excess acid formation in stomach. Symptomatic relief can be obtained with intake of Proton pump inhibitors like Pantoprazole, which prevent acid formation in stomach (to be taken before meals)+ antacid gel (to be taken after meals).
2. Spasm of the chest muscles- management will involve application of muscle relaxant gel & intake of analgesic (like Diclofenac or Panadol) + Pantoprazole preparation.
However, an ECG can be done to rule out any Cardiovascular cause for the symptoms.
So, kindly consult your General Physician and start treatment as advised. There is no need to worry, you will be fine. Take care.
