What Does A Bump In The Vagina Indicate?

I just finished my period and something didn t feel right down there. I thought maybe I hurt myself with a tampon applicator but upon inspection, I palpated a large bump on the left side of my vaginal wall. I have never noticed it before and my husband has never said he felt anything out of the ordinary. Should I be worried or could this be something that will dissipate on its own? I have a hx of cancer and have been cancer free for 4 years. Could it be an std as my husband works away from home for long periods of time.

Hi,

The lump in the vagina sounds to be Bartholin cyst here, should be confirmed by physical examination with your OBGY. Wish you best health ahead.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
