What Does A Bump On The Head After An Injury Indicate?
when i was vacuuming the carpet i went down to pick some stuff of the carpet but when i got up i hit the cabnet really hard on the top of my head it hurt. but now there is a bump on the top my head after that i keeped cleaning the office it hurts every time i touch it and when i got home i fell asleep cause i was tired i touched my head making sure there was no blood when it happened
I can understand your concern. It seems that you have developed a concussion wound due to injury on the head. As far as there is no bleeding and other symptoms such as vomiting, dizziness, confusion etc., you do not need to worry about the size or tenderness of the bump.
As the days will pass, the bump will automatically reduce until it disappears. You can do ice application over the area to reduce the swelling.
In addition, if you are in much pain, you can take Ibuprofen 400 mg to control the pain.
However, if you develop nausea, vomiting, dizziness or confusion, you should see a physician for consultation and examination of the injured area.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
