What Does A Bump On The Head After An Injury Indicate?

My wife passed out in the bathroom, hitting the back of her head on the hard tile floor, 2 1/2 months ago. Took her to the ER. She had a slight subarachnoid hemorrhage, that the neurosurgeon said was minor enough not to require surgery. She had three staples to close a scalp impact laceration. Her headaches from concussion are fading. All is looking good except for a bump near the impact site. It is still tender to the touch and has yet to subside. There is no discoloration at the bump, nor has there ever been. The laceration is below and to the right of the bump, by perhaps 1/2 . The only answer she s received about it is a brush off feeling Oh, it ll go away eventually. I m hoping for a better answer.
