What Does A Bump On The Temple Indicate?

I have a bump about the size of a quarter just under my left temple near hair line. It is painless and not noticeable until I start moving my jaw to the right .Like when I brush my teeth. Have had for sometime but seems a little more noticeable with short hair. Very soft. Never hurts too push on it. Just wasn t sure if should take it any further? I have had it for quite awhile. Thank You

Hello,

It is a Lipoma.

You get a biopsy done to know what tissue it could be or get excision biopsy done under local anesthesia because any swelling can become malignant or can turn up to anything, so kindly do not leave it and get a biopsy done.

If it is just Lipoma, then it can be left alone or can be excised.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
