Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hey, I have this tiny bump under my eye lid. I ve been told by my mom it s probably because if air. Since I have a fan in my room and it always blows on my face. It s tiny because first my eye was hurting really bad that I couldn t really touch it and then like a couple days later I get this weird little bump on my right eye, and I m scared something might happen to me. Please help!
What you are describing sounds like a hordeolum, or stye, which is inflammation and small abscess of the eyelid. Sometimes after this resolves, they can form a small bump called a chalazion. These do not need any treatment and usually go away on their own over days to weeks. You can try putting a warm compress, like a warm towel, over your eye for 10-15 minutes, 3-4 times a day to help it to drain and resolve quickly. If it doesn't go away and it is bothering you, you should see an ophthalmologist and check if it needs to be surgically removed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
