What Does A Dot In The Vision Indicate?

Hi, My 10 year old daughter was fine this morning and played in her basketball. On the way home she said she could see a dot in her eye. Then she said it felt like her eye was being gauged out. She s now thrown u[ 4 times. She did not get hit in the head or any where during her game. Is this something she should be seen by a doctor for, or is she just sick?

Hi
I had gone through the question and understand your concern.
The dot that your daughter sees is called as floater , and is very commonly seen by people. It is not pathological and there is no need to worry about it.
Floater is usually seen by elderly people or children and adults who are usually myopic .
Floaters are generally seen in bright light.
Although if she is having black outs then you should consult physician.
Hope this was of help.
Let me know if you have other queries.
Thank you
