What Does A Fluttery Feeling In Chest Along With Sweating And Nausea Indicate?

I sometimes feel a flutter in my chest, usually at rest, never when excercising. I sometimes wake from sleep with a strong heart beat, it is sometimes associated with sweating and sometimes nausea, and have been able to associate strong heart beats will follow after a few alcoholic beverage consumption, usually 5-6 hours after last beverage. I have had a cardiac nuclear stress test in the past which was normal, EKG normal

Hello and welcome.

A 2D echocardiography should greatly help to look into the proper functioning of your heart and all its parts, as the presentation described usually is associated with some cardiac dysfunction (e.g. valve disorders, etc.).

If this is ruled out, then a look into anxiety, hypertension and your blood glucose profile should be considered. Speak to your doctor for a more detailed evaluation.

Best wishes.
