Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic The growth seems most likely to me an Acrochordon also commonly known as skin tags. It is a benign growth. It usually has a stalk/peduncle by which it is attached to the body. The stalk carries blood suply to the growth. Acrochordons are soft and are composed of a fibrofatty tissue. They are asymptomatic. These may get caught in clothing and get pulled accidently thus giving rise to pain. Sometimes they may get infected and then become painful. Treatment is simple and includes removal of these pedunculated lesions from the base with the help of electrocautery and subsequent cauterization of the base of stalk to close up the severed blood vessels. I suggest you to visit a dermatologist or a general surgeon for the needful. Regards
