What Does A Hanging Piece Of Flesh From Gums After Tooth Extraction Indicate?

Got one wisdom tooth removed this morning its not 12 hours later and I can feel something hanging from the hole. Feels like its attached to my gums.....is it the clot or something else??? Feels attached it my gums so not sure. Also its a pretty large piece it feels like.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the piece of flesh hanging from the extraction socket is the BLOOD CLOT that is formed after extraction which serves as the medium for healing and healing progresses through it.You should gently place the clot in the socket and place a ball of sterile cotton and bite it gently as if the clot gets dislodged then the healing will not take place and there will be a painful condition known as DRY SOCKET..
You should also immediately consult a dentist and get evaluated so that proper care can be taken.
Follow the instructions given by the dentist and avoid vigorous gargling,smoking and taking aerated drinks..
Take soft meals..
