My husband had blood work done and sent to oncology last week. Part of the results have come back and his lymphocytosis, monocyte count and his ESR counts are high. His father died from a lymphoma cancer. What do these results show? I know you cant give a clear picture with limited information.

hi, Your husband has lymphocytosis means high lymphocytes count and high monocytes count. it can be seen in simple viral infection to lymphoma and leukemia. and causes of high esr are so many like anemia, inflammation, autoimmune disorder, Tuberculosis, Malignancies, Paraproteinemia etc, so you should consult your doctor, you need to know what is the morphology of lymphocytes, whether it is normal, reactive or atypical, go for flow cytometry study if required. that will give correct diagnosis, then take treatment accordingly.
