If I were your treating physician I would have checked your medication list, stopped all medications that increase prolactin and then do a serum prolactin and thyroid function test.
If prolactin is elevated, there are medications which can cure the disease even if it is due to a tumour in pituitary.
Hope I have answered your questions. If you have any further queries I will be happy to help you.

What Does A High Prolactin Level Indicate?
Hi, Welcome to HCM. I have gone through the question and understand your concerns. Prilactin is a hormone that is secreted by pituitary gland located in the brain. This hormone is essential for breast development and milk secretion. Here this hormone is secreted in excess. The causes could be hypothyroidism, some drugs, or increased secretion from a small tumour from pituitary. Please consult an endocrinologist for detailed evaluation. If I were your treating physician I would have checked your medication list, stopped all medications that increase prolactin and then do a serum prolactin and thyroid function test. If prolactin is elevated, there are medications which can cure the disease even if it is due to a tumour in pituitary. Hope I have answered your questions.
