What Does A Hole In The Chest Indicate?

Greetings, I am 24yrs of age, 5sum in height and I am not sure about my weight but I am in good medical condition. I ve recently found out that they call the little hole on the ear preauricular sinus or something to that effect. I have a little hole in my chest, what I would like to know is, is it the same thing? Thus far, I ve had no trouble with it except when something bit/stung me and it started to swell and hurt and what not. Other than that, no troubles. A single hair also grows out of it. I doubt its harmful but can you tell me what it is?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be pre auricular sinus. Consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated. If it is infected, surgical removal might be required.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
