Hello,

Cellulitis if left neglected may become life threatening. You are suggested to get yourself thoroughly examined by a GP. Get all blood, Urinalysis & Imaging tests done at the earliest. A sample of the fluid from the affected area is taken for culture to detect infection.

Since you have large inflamed spots & areas in your legs you are suggested to get hospitalized, get intravenous antibiotics and infusions for a faster recovery.

Wear well fitting shoes, socks & avoid walking bare footed. Get treated DM or kidney disease. Keep your foot at rest. keep in elevated on a stool while sitting or on a pillow while on bed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
