What Does A Large Hard Bump Behind My Ear Indicate?

Hi I have a large hard bump behind my ear , actually I have many bumps behind my ears ! I have piercings and I took them out thinking it had to do with that.. I am applying benzoyl to the ear nightly ! These bumps are embarrassing and I never wear my hair up anymore because of it ! HELP PLEASE

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have large hard bump behind ear which could be due to inflammation of post auricular lympn node. It could be cartiligious in nature. Need not to worry. You should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get complete examination done and start treatment after proper prescription. Apply warm compresses behind ear. Take proper course of antibiotics to subside infection. Remove rings and maintain hygiene of that area to keep that aseptic.
