What Does A Liquefied Hematoma On A CT Scan Report Mean?

I have an ileostomy.. I have moderate swelling behind the stoma and to one side of it.. It is painful to touch and also has a constant aching pain.. I have had it since 1999 and it is permanently. Ct showed fluid maybe seroma or liquefied hematoma. What does this mean and how it is treated..

Hi,

You are having fluid collection behind surgery site. It can be resolved within few days to weeks. Non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs can be prescribed for that. If not resolved then drainage needs to be done. Kindly attach your report to comment further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami,
