What Does A Lump Above The Right Ankle Indicate?

I have a soft knot, above my right ankle, on the leg, no pain, but has been there for about 3 weeks, I have used ice packs and heat on it, but it is the same. I am beginning to wonder about a blood clot. If there is any discoloration, it isn t very visible. However, my legs are aged spotted. I am 79. No answer if I have to pay. Thanks.

mostly it looks like a ganglion or lipoma...it's mainly due to accumulation of fat...it ll remain the same through out the life..if in case it increases..the best way to remove is by surgical excision which is 20 mins procedure under LA...nothing to worry about...I hope this resolved you're issue's
