What Does A Lump Above The Waist On Back Indicate?
I feel a bulge on the left side of my back , right above my waist, on my left side. I feel pain touching a specific spot (a rib?) which is not exactly the spot where I have the bulge. The pain started almost 2 weeks ago, very strong (like I could not move) but I felt no bulge at that time. Now I can move more or less 100 with minimal pain but I am worried about this bulge
Hi! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
If I were your doctor, I would advise you for an anti inflammatory and a course of broad spectrum antibiotic. If no improvement, I would consider some basic blood tests like a CBC, ESR, an X ray chest, and if need be FNAC to rule out any chances of a coldabscess. Further investigations would depend on the physical examination of the treating doctor with results of related investigations.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef
